    COOPER PHARMA was established as long ago as 1959 by a Pharmacy graduate. Since then its activities are aligned to the basic values of manufacturing drugs of International quality. The Drugs and Pharmaceutical Division of COOPER PHARMA at Wazirpur Industrial Area is positioned at North precincts in the capital of the country i.e. Delhi. The factory is spread over separate manufacturing sections and is equipped with the most modern state-of-the-art equipment and machinery.

     The congenial environment; well built infrastructure; energetic & highly competent technical staff and workforce; unique human relationship; efficient and committed management support in practicing up-to-date Quality Management Systems; resulted in meeting the highest standards of quality, safety and productivity.

    The collective effort has paid rich dividend in maintaining the GMP standards as set out by the W.H.O. in the Plant.

    At present the following sections are operative in the existing plant, which are competent to meet the requirement of the domestic as well as the international market:

QUALITY CONTROL

    To ensure quality, our Q.C. department is well equipped with most sophisticated, ultra modern, state-of-the-art instruments like HPLC, FTIR, Chromatography, Photo Fluorometer, UV Spectrophotometer, Karl Fischer Titrator, Humidity Control Oven, D.T. Apparatus, Colony Counter, Friability Apparatus, D.T. Apparatus, Polarimeter, I.R., Moisture Balance, pH Meter, Incubator, Refractometer, Zone Reader, Leakage Test Apparatus, Autoclave, Polarimeter, Contrifuge Machine etc.

    As per GLP, all the stringent / strict quality control measures are taken as per the specifications measures of control, as per the ones taken by the Government laboratories.

    The quality of products as well as that of raw material, semi-finished products & finished products is checked at every possible step. This eliminates the possibility of any error so that high quality products are produced.

    Infact a number of analytical procedures are carried out before releasing any batch.

    The quality control department has technically qualified analytical professionals, who take utmost care to ensure the quality of the products as per GLP / GMP specifications during the process of manufacturing as well as during the shelf life. All the facilities for quality control are available in-house, so checking of quality is ensured at each step, in-house.

     One of the Unit of COOPER PHARMA is under construction and is located in a serene environment at Dehradun in the Indian state of Uttarachal. The project is designed so as to meet the requirement of U.K. MCA besides those of WHO GMP standards. The forthcoming factory is spread over separate manufacturing block for General Manufacturing, Betalactum and Steroid formulations. In order to make the plant of highest standards, M+W Zander (S) Pte. Ltd., having their Asian Regional Headquarter at Singapore have been appointed as Consultants. The environment is eco-friendly and the location of the plant is surrounded by sprawling greenery. The project will be ready for production by the end of May 2004.
